Coming June 19th: Produced by a team of BIPOC creatives, this film takes audiences on a journey across Berlin, NYC and London, challenging prevailing narratives by centring the Black gaze and offering a refreshing counterpoint to the pervasive portrayal of Black pain in media.
Directed by Kemi Fatoba, founder of DADDY Magazine, "Black Joy" delves into the multifaceted dimensions of joy within Black communities. Through candid interviews with individuals from Africa and its global diaspora, the film unpacks the significance of Black Joy against the backdrop of historical movements, community spaces, and creative expression.
