After successful editions in Johannesburg, Berlin, Guadalajara, London and Cape Town, the award-winning streaming platform and media incubator Open Television (OTV) will bring for the first time to Brazil its program "Brave Futures", a series of competition that challenges filmmakers, creatives and storytellers of all levels to create a short film up to 48 hours, using the Bahian capital as a canvas.

The intersectional film program will bring the concept to the city of Salvador, recognized as the Black Capital of Latin America, from October 14 to 30, through an unprecedented partnership with DiALAB, an international platform focused on career development, project consulting and networking for black audiovisual professionals. Brave Futures Salvador will have 24 artists, distributed in 6 different teams, who will be selected to create, produce and finalize a short film of 3 to 7 minutes in length in up to 48 hours, and each film must incorporate the following elements: a theme, a location and an action. At the end of the process, all films will be shown publicly and will compete for several awards, according to the public vote, and may also be selected to participate in other activities.
