IMMORTAL☥ : living forever; never dying or decaying.
IMMORTAL☥ sinks into the perspective of Lassai, a black working class queer non binary person surviving in a pro-cishetero, homophobic, transphobic, and racist world. A world that has brutally demonized their body and lifestyle, ultimately forcing them (and other queer people) into ""darkness"" where they have inevitably evolved into something much more powerful and enigmatic that seems to never fully die. IMMORTAL has explored themes of escapism, sex work, BDSM, and life in Chicago post pandemic. It pays homage to black queer underground legends who crafted the early sounds of House/EDM/techno and footwork music, while also weaving in more contemporary sounds like Bedroom pop, hyper pop, and vogue.
